Hotel Sorrento has been an essential part of the Mornington Peninsula for 150 years and family-run for the past 40. A major redevelopment by Six Degrees, has placed this heritage-listed hotel on the map as a modern luxury destination.

The transformation into a 50-key boutique hotel embraces views across Port Phillip Bay, added new wellness facilities, a day spa, a 25m lap pool, a private sun deck, underground car park, conference facilities, a new restaurant entry and a re-imagined front bar and new roof bar.

The design uses soft, light tones and materials to create a calming and relaxing environment, in line with the character of the historical building, connecting guests to the serene surrounding landscape.

"There is a gentleness within Six Degrees design which shows a deep understanding that design must be functional, as well as magnificent. They have managed to achieve both for us." Anne, Rob, Bridget, Myles and Marcus Pitt
