Six Degrees HQ, Fitzroy

Six Degrees has grown to become Australia’s leader in User Experience Architecture.

About Six Degrees Architects

Videography: Michael Zito

With experience gained across many project types, our people have the capability to deliver master planning and design solutions for urban precincts, new buildings and redevelopments.

We can solve the most challenging aspects of your project, providing expert guidance to ensure good outcomes and productive, long-term partnerships.

STUDIO STRUCTURE

Our six directors are supported by a team of highly skilled architects, interior designers and a new generation of fresh talent.

Expert practice management and administration underpin our service delivery. The combined strengths of our team make Six Degrees uniquely able to meet the requirements of your brief.

USER EXPERIENCE EXPERTS

Our ability to develop urban planning and design strategies to create new urban places and to activate under-performing civic and retail precincts is a core strength. Putting the User Experience at the centre of our design work has been the foundation for the successful delivery of our commercial projects achieved in the course of 30 years of practice.

We believe in the power of listening and collaborating, reaching solutions by gaining a deep understanding of the context, client and community.

NATURAL COLLABORATORS

We value our people and encourage them to explore and think deeply. We foster an open studio culture that empowers every individual and welcomes debate and interaction for a healthy cross-pollination of ideas.

We know how to get the best out of each practitioner, allowing their work to sing, while steering the project to provide a cohesive outcome with a minimum of fuss. The team work closely together across projects to draw on the strengths of each individual in order to enrich the design solution.

ENVIRONMENTALLY AND SOCIALLY SUSTAINABLE

Six Degrees has been committed to sustainable design practices since its inception. A carbon neutral operation since 2020, we work with clients on supporting environmentally and socially sustainable development and improved living conditions. We offer job-sharing, workplace flexibility and we believe in an egalitarian office culture defined by mutual respect and open communication.

Six Degrees acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present.
