In 2003 Six Degrees were approached by Federation Square to explore the possibility of reactivating the neglected vaults area of the riverside. The main challenges were the Heritage significance of the façade and vault structures, and providing adequate services delivery. The result is a vibrant riverside destination, maximizing use of a previously neglected area and providing a combination of public uses including hospitality, bike hire and boat tours with full disability access.

A signature Six Degree transformation from underutilised public space to a vibrant multi-purpose destination, bringing joy and life to the City of Melbourne.
