On the banks of Merri Creek, this residential precinct is bordered by bushland, and a short stroll from Westgarth Village. Conceptualised as a permeable, pedestrian friendly development, the design enables access to the creek for both the residents and the surrounding local community.

With no visual distinction between social and private market homes, this tenure-blind development delivers 99 social housing dwellings alongside 151 private homes. Privacy is mediated by extensive landscaping, and the precinct offers a pedestrianised ground plane that encourages community integration and fosters connections between locals and residents of the new Merri Creek neighbourhood.

Merri Northcote was identified by the Victorian Government as a benchmark project for its Great Design Fast Track program, delivering high-quality, well-designed housing projects that demonstrate liveability, sustainability, and modern construction methods.
