Nightingale 2.0

A housing project that explores ideas around public & private space and living in a community
Heller St Park & Residences
Located in the backstreets of Brunswick, a former tip is remediated and developed into medium-density housing with a communal park, blurring the boundary between public and private space, inviting not only its residents but the wider community to enjoy the new shared green space. 10 family-oriented environmentally considered, generous dwellings stand side by side and each of the private terraces expands without clear borders into the public realm. An answer to what role architecture can play in forming community.

A social and environmentally sustainable model of living with shared outdoor amenities allowing for a truly connected neighbourhood and community living with a village to raise your children.
