Working in conjunction with the City of Yarra and user groups, Six Degrees sought to provide facilities that enabled flexible use with durable, low maintenance and environmentally sustainable materiality. The project was constructed within the red brick heritage listed shell of the former GTV 9 Studio 3, in Richmond.
It operates as a ‘neighbourhood house’ model, and as a community venue, providing a range of services and activities that attract a broad range of residents. It was important that the meeting point appears open, accessible and welcoming to residents of the new GTV9 development and the local area.
